sad thing... :(
Hi guys...

so last tuesday on may 13th the faculty of Architecture of the TU Delft burnt down... as of two days ago I'm so to say 'homeless'. So actually I'm kind of moody the last few days :'( A lot of people lost all their work, a few people lost their complete phd research, but thankfully most of the historic models and chairs in the building were saved. The library is probably intact as well. At least they think it is, anyway, it really sucks...

this is a picture I took after the fire

not much left of my studio....

anyway, thnx for looking

sketches during class
Hi guys!

so lately I've been very inspired to do some sketching during class. I got inspired to do some black/white sketches like in comic books. I love the comic book style so I'm trying to imitate and learn from them. Anyway, I still suck a lot but I'll get there

Treasurechest
Last night I was searching my archives for nice drawings and sketches of mine when I found these.

This one was made in april this year for my mother's birthday It was actually my real first big acrylics painting and I was quite satisfied with it. Naturally I now see a lot of things that could've been better, but I'm still happy with it nonetheless. It was made on a piece of plywood.. it's about 90x60cm (hm.. well.. I'm a sudent.. what can I say... :P) and it was made in 5 days. This includes sketching it out and copying (resizing) the sektch and painting.
I have learned a LOT on this painting and I thought I'd share

My little brother is 10 years younger than me, and a huuge fan of Bionicles. He can name all of them and he has a lot of them. So one day he had bought one of the latest and he was very happy with it and playing with it all day. When I came home from work we played some together and then I suddenly had a nice idea for a mural

It's allmost as big as I am and it was made in 1,5 day, with 1 color. Unfortunately my parents moved out of that house and had to repaint the wall so the mural doesn't really exist anymore :(. So these are the only pictures I have left This one I'm really proud of (and so was my brother he showed it to all his friends hahaha). I'll ask my brother wich Bionicle it is, because I forgot :$

bye

artrage
I've been doing some sketching in artrage for the past two days now, and I must say, it's highly addictive... :P I haven't really been doing anything else since I got the program :P Anyway, I'm very happy to have a blog right now so I can show some of my sketches (since I can't really put them in my anatomy thread :P)

I'm a total zelda addict and I really like the style of 'the windwaker' and 'the minish cap' I think it's very very cute and I really to be able to draw like that. So I'm going to copy some zelda art. I'll use the original art as a refrence and then start drawing without guides. Anyway, I did one It's a picori from the minish cap and I'm kinda happy with the way it turned out actually

original art
